Erie County Health Department, Firelands Health and the Erie County ADAMHS Board set
to release findings from the 2024 Community Health Assessment
[Sandusky, OH] – October 10, 2024 – Erie County residents are invited to learn about the health
needs and priorities of their communities at the upcoming Youth and Community Health
Assessment Release Event.
The event will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, from 10:00
AM to 12:00 PM at the BGSU-Firelands Campus Cedar Point Conference Center, Room 1001.
The assessments, one focused on youths under age 18 and another focused-on adults over age
18, were conducted by Bowling Green State University, on behalf of the Erie County Health
Department, Firelands Health and the Erie County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health
Services Board, is a comprehensive survey conducted every two years to gather valuable insights
into the health, behaviors, needs, and issues facing Erie County residents. The results of the
assessments inform local health initiatives and policies, ensuring that resources are allocated
effectively to address the most pressing community health concerns.
At the release event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the key findings from the
assessments, including trending data and insights into health behaviors of both youth and adult
communities.
The Community Health Assessment Release Event is open to the public. Community members
are encouraged to attend and learn how they can contribute to the ongoing efforts to improve the
health and well-being of Erie County residents.
