Partnering with local businesses to ensure safe dining.

Our Food Safety program works hand-in-hand with mobile vendors, temporary events, and brick-and-mortar establishments to maintain the highest sanitization standards. We conduct routine, unannounced restaurant inspections throughout the county to protect diners from foodborne illnesses and ensure safe food handling practices. If you are an aspiring culinary entrepreneur or an established restaurateur, we provide the resources, license applications, and food permit requirements for restaurants you need to operate legally and safely under Ohio law, alongside local ServSafe© food manager certification training.

For questions about Food Safety please contact the Environmental Health Division at 419-626-5623 ext. 5115.
