The Erie County Health Dept/ECCHC provides school nursing services throughout Erie County and further. Our public health nurses that work within each school district provides expertise and oversight for the provision of health services, case management, health promotion, disease mitigation, and education. Our Public Health School Nurses are the key link between school personnel, families, healthcare providers and the community.
The ECHD/ECCHC’s Public Health Nursing program provides a variety of nursing services in various settings to meet the healthcare needs of the entire community, including the correction system in Erie and Ottawa County.
Linking people to needed healthcare services is an essential service of our public healthcare agency. The Children with Medical Handicaps Program (CMH) is a health care program through the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). This program links families of children with special health care needs to a network of quality providers and helps families obtain payment for the services their children need.
