Erie County Health Department Expands Medical and Dental Services with Addition of Two
New Providers
Sandusky, OH, February 6, 2025 – The Erie County Health Department (ECHD) and Erie
County Community Health Center (ECCHC) are delighted to announce the addition of Dr.
Kathleen Scroggins to the medical team, and Dr. Eric Snyder to its dental team.
Dr. Scroggins is a board-certified Family Physician with over 30 years of experience.
In addition to family medicine, Dr. Scroggins provides behavioral health services at the Erie
County Detox and Kaptur Rogowski House. She sees patients of all ages and has special
interests in caring for children, mental health care, substance use disorders, chronic disease
management, and preventive care.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Scroggins to the ECHD team,” said Peter Schade, Health
Commissioner. “Her extensive experience and dedication to comprehensive patient care,
including behavioral health and substance use disorders, will be a tremendous asset to our
community.”
Dr. Snyder brings over 30 years of experience providing expert dental care.
Dr. Snyder earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University in 1994 and
served the community there for 20 years. He has been practicing in Ohio since 2018. His passion
for patient care is evident in his dedication to the profession.
“Dr. Snyder’s passion for patient care and his long history of serving communities make him an
excellent fit for our team,” said Nicole Ziegler, Chief Health Services Officer. “We are confident
that his skills and experience will be a valuable asset to our dental services.”
ECHD/ECCHC offers dental services at three locations: the Main Campus at 420 Superior Street
in Sandusky; the EHOVE Health Center at 316 W. Milan Road, on the campus of the EHOVE
Career Center; and at the Kelleys Island Health Center, 117 Addison Street on Kelleys Island.
Medical services are available at all eight Health Center locations: the three above, as well as the
Main Campus at 420 Superior Street in Sandusky, the Erie County JFS Office at 221 Parish
Street in Sandusky, and the Sandusky Career Center at 4501 Venice Heights Boulevard. Health
Services are also available at the Vermilion School Based Health Center located at the Vermilion
High School, in Port Clinton at 333 Buckeye Boulevard, and in Norwalk at 34 Executive Drive.
