Care for the Caregiver: An Afternoon of Support, Rest, and Peace of Mind

Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia is a journey filled with love, patience, and devotion — but it can also be physically and emotionally exhausting. At Compass Point Adult Day, we believe caregivers deserve care too.

That’s why we’re proud to support the upcoming Care for the Caregiver event hosted by The Commons of Providence.

On Friday, February 20, caregivers are invited to enjoy a relaxing afternoon designed just for them, featuring a complimentary gourmet lunch, meaningful connection with others who understand the caregiving journey, and optional chair massages. There are no presentations and no expectations just a chance to pause, breathe, and be appreciated.

How Compass Point Supports Caregivers

During the event, Compass Point Adult Day will provide respite care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. While caregivers take time for themselves, their loved ones will be in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment with trained staff who understand their unique needs.

Our respite services offer:

  • Compassionate supervision and support
  • Engaging, dementia-friendly activities
  • A secure environment that promotes dignity and comfort

This partnership ensures caregivers can fully enjoy the event with confidence and peace of mind.

You’re Not Alone

Caregiving doesn’t have to be done alone — and taking time for yourself is not selfish, it’s essential. Events like this remind caregivers that their well-being matters, too.
