The OhioHealth Mother’s Milk Bank relies on donations from healthy, lactating women who have an excess of expressed breastmilk. The donated milk is pasteurized, frozen and distributed to hospitals across the country, giving critically ill babies their best chance at health!

All donors are approved through a thorough screening process that adheres to guidelines from the Human Milk Bank Association of North America. Donors can be to be screened at the Erie County Health Department/Erie County Community Health Center at no cost. Erie County WIC is happy to alleviate the worry of packaging and shipping the breastmilk by providing a convenient location to drop your milk!
