CREATING HEALTHY COMMUNITIES – SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL TRAVEL PLAN

A School Travel Plan (STP) is a written document that outlines a community’s intentions for enabling students to engage in active transportation such as walking or bicycling as they travel to and from school. A STP can identify barriers to active transportation using infrastructure – crosswalks and signage – or non-infrastructure – education and training – improvements or approaches to address them.

A School Travel Plan is being drafted for the Sandusky City School District in 2023 with the potential for funding to be applied for in early 2024.
