condiciones del entorno en el que las personas nacen, viven, aprenden, trabajan, juegan, practican su religi\u00f3n y envejecen, que afectan a una amplia gama de resultados y riesgos para la salud, el funcionamiento y la calidad de vida.<\/p><p>Los SDOH pueden agruparse en 5 \u00e1mbitos:<\/p><ul><li>Estabilidad econ\u00f3mica<\/li><li>Acceso y calidad de la educaci\u00f3n<\/li><li>Acceso y calidad de la atenci\u00f3n sanitaria<\/li><li>Entorno vecinal y construido<\/li><li>Contexto social y comunitario<\/li><\/ul><p>Los determinantes sociales de la salud (DSS) tienen un gran impacto en la salud, el bienestar y la calidad de vida de las personas. Algunos ejemplos de SDOH son:<\/p><ul><li>Vivienda, transporte y barrios seguros<\/li><li>Racismo, discriminaci\u00f3n y violencia<\/li><li>Educaci\u00f3n, oportunidades laborales e ingresos<\/li><li>Acceso a alimentos nutritivos y oportunidades de actividad f\u00edsica<\/li><li>Aire y agua contaminados<\/li><li>Competencias ling\u00fc\u00edsticas y de lectura y escritura<\/li><\/ul><p>Los SDOH tambi\u00e9n contribuyen a grandes disparidades y desigualdades sanitarias. Por ejemplo, las personas que no tienen acceso a tiendas de comestibles con alimentos sanos tienen menos probabilidades de disfrutar de una buena nutrici\u00f3n. Esto aumenta el riesgo de padecer enfermedades cardiovasculares, diabetes y obesidad, e incluso reduce la esperanza de vida en comparaci\u00f3n con las personas que s\u00ed tienen acceso a alimentos saludables.<\/p><p>La mera promoci\u00f3n de opciones saludables no eliminar\u00e1 estas y otras disparidades sanitarias. Por el contrario, las organizaciones de salud p\u00fablica y sus socios en sectores como la educaci\u00f3n, el transporte y la vivienda deben tomar medidas para mejorar las condiciones del entorno de las personas.<\/p><h5>ESTABILIDAD ECON\u00d3MICA<\/h5><p>La conexi\u00f3n entre los recursos financieros de que disponen las personas -ingresos, coste de la vida y estatus socioecon\u00f3mico- y su salud. Este \u00e1mbito incluye cuestiones clave como la pobreza, el empleo, la seguridad alimentaria y la estabilidad de la vivienda.<\/p><h5>ACCESO Y CALIDAD DE LA EDUCACI\u00d3N<\/h5><p>La conexi\u00f3n de la educaci\u00f3n con la salud y el bienestar. Este \u00e1mbito incluye cuestiones clave como la graduaci\u00f3n en la ense\u00f1anza secundaria, la matriculaci\u00f3n en la ense\u00f1anza superior, el nivel educativo en general, la lengua y la alfabetizaci\u00f3n, y la educaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo de la primera infancia.<\/p><h5>ACCESO Y CALIDAD DE LA ATENCI\u00d3N SANITARIA<\/h5><p>La conexi\u00f3n entre el acceso de las personas a los servicios sanitarios y su comprensi\u00f3n de los mismos y su propia salud.
