Erie County Listens: Your Voice Matters in Shaping Health Equity

At the Erie County Health Department/Erie County Community Health Center we know that health isn’t just about medical care. Where you live, your education level, your economic status – these and other social factors all play a significant role in how healthy you and your family are. We call these factors the “social determinants of health,” and we want to hear directly from YOU about them!

What are the obstacles that you, your family, or your friends face in regards to health care, transportation, housing, obtaining healthy foods, and even you or your child’s education. Bowling Green State University, our partner in the 2024 Community Health Assessment, is hosting listening sessions to hear from our community members. You must be an Erie County resident to participate. We also understand that your time is important so when you attend a session, you’ll receive a $25 gift card.

What to Expect at the Listening Sessions

  • A Welcoming Environment: We want to hear from everyone, regardless of background or experience.
  • Open Discussion: Share your stories and concerns about the social determinants of health that affect you and your family.
  • Your Voice Matters: The information you share will directly inform our efforts to address health disparities in Erie County.

How to Participate

We encourage you to attend a listening session at a location convenient for you. You can sign up to receive more information about dates and times of listening sessions by clicking this link: https://bgsu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eevY8nddxUJ4RO6.

Together, We Can Build a Healthier Erie County

By working together, we can identify and address the social determinants of health that are creating health disparities in our community. Your voice is important. We look forward to hearing from you!
