DRUG FREE COMMUNITITES

Drug Free PhotoThe goal of the Drug Free Communities Coalition is to reduce the number of Erie County youth engaged in tobacco, alcohol, and substance use though community collaboration, planning, and the implementation of proven and evidence-based strategies. Our vision is to unite Erie County school districts and community members to equip our youth with the ability to abstain from tobacco, alcohol, and substance use and maintain healthy lives by:

  • Building capacity among community stakeholders that engage Erie County’s youth.
  • Increase youth champions who are willing to speak out against substance use and empower peers.
  • Prevent tobacco, alcohol, and substance use.
  • Provide resources for parents, youth, and community members to stay informed about substance use and prevention strategies.
  • Increase access to prevention strategies for local school districts and youth programs throughout the county.
